Seventeen's Jeonghan to enlist in military, Jun to pursue on acting in China this 2024

Seventeen's Jeonghan to enlist in military, Jun to focus on acting this 2024

Two members of Seventeen are set to skip group activities starting the latter half of 2024.

According to a statement by Pledis Entertainment, Jeonghan is scheduled to fulfill his mandatory military service, and Jun will pursue acting projects in China.

“While Jeonghan filmed most of the content he could in advance, he will not be able to participate in promotional activities for the 12th mini album and the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR, scheduled to start in October,” Pledis said.

However, Jeonghan will still be able to meet with Carats at a previously announced fan signing event and in Lollapalooza Berlin. The management added that more details about his military service will be revealed in another announcement.

As for Jun, he will not be ble to participate in Lollapalooza Berlin, music show performances for the 12th mini album, and Seventeen's "RIGHT HERE" World Tour.

However, like Jeonghan, Jun had already finished filming for advanced content.

“Jun is determined to participate in SEVENTEEN’s group activities, and though he is unable to take part in the world tour, Jun will participate as much as he can in schedules that engage with CARATs.”

Pledis then asked fans for their understanding and support for Jeonghan and Jun.

“Please continue to show your love for SEVENTEEN and stay tuned for SEVENTEEN’s upcoming activities this year,” they said.

Seventeen announced their Right Here world tour in late July. It will have an Asian leg and will kick off in South Korea in October.

Seventeen released "17 is Right Here," their greatest hits album, in April.

The group had two sold-out concerts at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan in January for their Follow tour. The concert film from the tour is premiering in Philippine cinemas on August 21.

They also had a pop-up shop from January to February at SM City North EDSA, featuring products from the artist-made collection.
