Blackpink celebrates 8th year anniversary as group

The K-pop superstars surprised their beloved BLINKs as they went on live to mark their eight year anniversary as a group.

Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose took to WeVerse on Thursday to greet their fans. During their live, the four wore birthday hats as they sang “Happy Birthday” in Korean and blew their cakes.

Blackpink debuted in 2016 with the hit song “Whistle.” They are best known for their hit songs “Boombayah,” and “How You Like That,” among others.

Last year, the group headlined Coachella and had a two-night concert at the Philippine Arena.

In December, all Blackpink members reportedly renewed their contract for group activities with YG Entertainment.

However, Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo’s solo activities will be managed under their own labels. Jennie with Odd Atelier, Lisa under Lloud, and Jisoo with Blissoo.
