'Deadpool & Wolverine' stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman bestowed titles as trailer sets world record

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were awarded an official Guinness World Records (GWR) certificate after their latest film, "Deadpool & Wolverine," set a world record for having the "most viewed movie trailer in 24 hours."

The Hollywood actors were presented the certificate on ITV's "This Morning" during an interview with host Alison Hammond ahead of the film's release in the United States, according to GWR.

The "Deadpool & Wolverine" trailer premiered at Super Bowl LVIII, garnering 365 million global views across all platforms from Feb. 11 to 12, added GWR.

GWR Adjudicator Will Munford presented the certificate to the actors, which they could share.

Ryan was also given another certificate as co-owner of Wrexham AFC after the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales, United Kingdom was recognized as the oldest international football ground. The ground, according to GWR, has been in use for 147 years and 31 days, as of April 5.

"Deadpool & Wolverine," directed by Shawn Levy, follows the story of Wade Wilson or Deadpool (Ryan) who teams up with Wolverine (Hugh) on a mission to defeat a common enemy. Jennifer Garner reprised her assassin role as Elektra in the movie.

"Deadpool & Wolverine" opened in Philippine cinemas on July 24 and is set to open in the U.S. on July 26.

This is the third installment of the "Deadpool" series and is the first film in the franchise to be made by Marvel Studios after the first two movies were released by 20th Century Fox in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

Stray Kids released a new original song, "Slash," for the film's soundtrack.
