The K-pop girl group is slated for a comeback and a world tour in 2025! The announcement was made by YG Entertainment founder and executive producer Yang Hyun Suk in a YouTube video on Sunday.

"I can't say we have specific plans yet, but I think a lot of artists will be active simultaneously. There will be a highly anticipated comeback from Blackpink and it will also be the year Blackpink starts their world tour," Hyun Suk said.

Rookie girl group Babymonster and boy group Treasure are also gearing up for their world tours. Hyun Suk also teased an upcoming group, referred to as their "new monster," although details have yet to be announced.

In the same video, Hyun Suk announced iconic girl group 2NE1's comeback and world tour this 2024, with the tour kicking off in Seoul this October, followed by Osaka in November, and Tokyo in December. The tour will continue through 2025.

Blackpink's last release was their second studio album "Born Pink" in 2022.

In December 2023, Blackpink renewed their contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment, but did not renew contracts for individual activities.

Blackpink held a two-night concert in the Philippines in March 2023 as part of their "Born Pink" world tour.

Lisa of Blackpink released her single "Rockstar" last month, her first under her record label Lloud.

Other Blackpink members have also launched their own labels for solo activities, namely Jennie with Odd Atelier and Jisoo with Blissoo. Rosé signed with The Black Label, under Blackpink's agency YG Entertainment, for her solo work.
