Jin of BTS carries the Olympic torch, serves as South Korea’s torchbearer for 2024 Paris Olympics

Jin of BTS is the handsome torchbearer of South Korea at this year’s Paris Olympics!

On X (formerly Twitter), the official account of the Olympics in Korea, posted a montage of Jin as he carried the Olympic flame at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

The Olympic torch relay ceremony is a tradition inspired by practices from ancient Greece, which signals the start of the Olympic games.

Jin was discharged from the military in June after enlisting in December 2022. He served for 18 months. 

In a recent interview with Weverse magazine, he said he is hard at work on his solo album.

With the rest of BTS still serving in the military, the super South Korea group is expected to reconvene in 2025.
