'The Devil Wears Prada' sequel is reportedly in the works

Is print dead? That's for Miranda Priestly to find out.

A sequel to the cult classic "The Devil Wears Prada" is now reportedly in the works and the original film's screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is in talks to return for the second movie, as reported by Puck and Variety.

In the hit 2006 movie, Meryl Streep starred as Miranda, the ice-cold editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, with Anne Hathaway (Andrea Sachs) and Emily Blunt (Emily Charlton) as her knackered assistants.

According to the reports, Disney is developing the sequel, which will reportedly follow Miranda as she contends with her career as traditional magazine publishing wanes. She will also face off with Emily, who is now a powerful executive for a luxury group and whose advertising money Miranda seriously needs.

It has not been confirmed whether Meryl, Anne, or Emily will be returning for the reported sequel.

The "Devil Wears Prada" film was adapted from Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name. The novel went on to become a bestseller, while the movie was a box-office hit, earning $326.7 million worldwide.
