'Game of Thrones' star Jack Gleeson joins 'The Sandman' Season 2 cast

Jack Gleeson, who played the iconic role of Joffrey Baratheon in "Game of Thrones," is joining the cast of "The Sandman" Season 2!

Netflix just announced the series' new cast members, who will play characters from the "The Sandman" collections "Seasons of the Mist" and "Brief Lives."

Gleeson will play the hobgoblin Puck, the royal jester to King Auberon of Faerie.

He joins fellow "Game of Thrones" stars Gwendoline Christie and Charles Dance in the series. Christie played Lucifer and Dance played Roderick Burgess, respectively, in "The Sandman" Season 1.

Other cast members include Ruairi O'Connor as Orpheus; Indya Moore as Wanda, Ann Skelly as Nuala, Douglas Booth as Cluracan, Freddie Fox as Loki, Laurence O'Fuaran as Thor, Clive Russell as Odin, and Steve Coogan as the voice of Barnabas.

"The Sandman" is the live action adaptation of Neil Gaiman's popular graphic novels of the same name. The first season released on Netflix in 2022.

It stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as the Corinthian, Patton Oswalt as the voice of Matthew the raven, and more.
