"Congratulations on your military discharge, dad," he wrote in Korean as translated in English by Instagram.
In a separate Instagram Story, J-Hope also shared a heartwarming moment of his reunion with Jin. In the caption, he put purple hearts and used the song "Song of Discharged" by Catfish Sergeant.
"You did a good job," J-Hope wrote.
Following Jin's discharge, all of the seven BTS members reunited and posed for a group photo.
Jin got discharged on Wednesday morning after serving for 18 months. He enlisted in December 2022.
The members, except for SUGA, were there to greet him outside the base.
Jin's discharge and BTS' reunion comes a day before they celebrate their 11th anniversary. According to previous announcements by BigHit Music, Jin will be leading Festa celebrations with an in-person event with ARMYs.
The rest of BTS are currently still in active military service. The supergroup is set to reconvene in 2025.
