Kim Ji Won on portraying Hong Hae In in 'Queen of Tears': 'Every moment was heartwarming'
Kim Ji Won, the South Korean actress who portrayed Hong Hae In in the recently concluded K-drama series "Queen of Tears," was full of gratitude following the record-breaking success of the show.
According to a Soompi report, Kim Ji Won shared in an interview that episode 11 of the show was the most memorable for her. It was the episode when Hae In's family learned that she had a terminal illness.
"There are moments when I monitor myself, but episode 11 is one that I also watched while crying," she said.
"I recall tears flowing a lot just naturally thanks to the senior actors," she added. "Every moment was heartwarming."
"Queen of Tears" recorded a rating of 24.850% for its finale, dethroning "Crash Landing on You" as the highest-rated drama series of all time on South Korean channel tvN. The former earned a 21.683% rating in February 2020.
To thank the show's fans for their support, "Queen of Tears" is set to air two special episodes on May 4 and 5.
"Queen of Tears" also stars Kim Soo Hyun as Hong Hae In's husband Baek Hyun Woo, Park Sung Hoon as the show's antagonist Yoon Eun Sung, and Kwak Dong Yeon as Hae In's brother Hong Soo Cheol.
