Song Kang writes touching letter for fans ahead of military enlistment
Song Kang has written a heartfelt letter for his fans, known as Songpyeon, a day before he is set to begin his mandatory military enlistment.
Soompi published an English translation of the letter, where the South Korean actor expressed his gratitude to those that have supported him through the years.
The 29-year-old K-drama star said he is happy to spend his 20s with his beloved Songpyeon in birthdays, anniversaries, and fan meetings.
"I won't be by your side for a while, but time will return quickly. I hope to greet you in person again then with a grateful and healthy heart," he said. "When that time comes, I hope to see you happier than you are now."
Song Kang also shared that he aims to learn a new language while serving in the military for a year and a half.
"I hope that Songpyeon will also spend the times in a meaningful way, doing what you want to do and finding yourselves," he said.
Song Kang will enlist in the military on Tuesday as an active-duty soldier.
The actor visited the Philippines last year for a fan meeting.
Song Kang is known for his roles in "My Demon," "Forecasting Love and Weather," "Nevertheless," and "Navillera."
