Kim Soo Hyun's agency denies dating rumors with Kim Sae Ron

Kim Soo Hyun's agency has addressed the dating rumors surrounding him and actress Kim Sae Ron. 

In a statement by Soo Hyun's label Gold Medalist, as cited by Soompi, the agency said that the actor is not dating Sae Ron.

Dating rumors started to hound the two actors after Sae Ron posted an old photo of her and Soo Hyun in a now-deleted Instagram story on Sunday.

Gold Medalist said the photo "appears to have been taken in the past when they were still in the same agency," and added that they are "unable to understand" the motive behind Sae Ron's post.

The agency also said that they will be taking strong legal action to address the malicious comments that surrounded Soo Hyun.

"Due to the photo in question, unnecessary misunderstandings and groundless speculation about our actor are currently running rampant, and we will be taking strong legal action through our legal representative in response to malicious slander and insulting posts that defame our actor's character or honor," they wrote.

They have also asked to refrain from "writing rumors" or "groundless speculation" regarding the matter.

Kim Sae Ron was managed by Gold Medalist from 2020 to 2022. She parted ways with the company months after being caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

Kim Soo Hyun, meanwhile, currently stars in the romantic comedy series "Queen of Tears," alongside actress Kim Ji Won. The 36-year-old actor visited the Philippines in January for a fan meet.
