‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ drops first trailer
Paramount Pictures on Wednesday released the first trailer for "A Quiet Place: Day One," the third film in the horror science fiction series developed by John Krasinski. Starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, "Day One" is a spin-off prequel set in the same world as the first two movies.
The film shows New York City on "the day the world went quiet," the official website says, marking the day extraterrestrial creatures with no sight but with acute hearing arrived to terrorize Earth and kill most of the human population, leading to the enveloping silence the characters lived through in the first movie, "A Quiet Place."
"A Quiet Place: Day One" is directed by Michael Sarnoski ("Pig") and also stars Joseph Quinn ("Stranger Things"), Alex Wolff ("Hereditary") and Djimon Hounsou ("Amistad"). It opens in US theaters on June 28. — BM, GMA Integrated News
