'Euphoria' star Jacob Elordi allegedly grabbed throat of radio staffer - reports
Australian actor Jacob Elordi has been accused of grabbing the throat of a radio staffer who tried to play a practical joke on the "Euphoria" star.
According to a BBC Newsbeat report, Joshua Fox from Australian station KIIS FM approached Elordi at a bar outside a Sydney hotel last weekend.
Fox recounted what happened in the "Kyle and Jackie O Breakfast Show," saying that he asked Elordi for some of his bathwater for host Jackie O's birthday. This is reference to a viral scene in black comedy thriller "Saltburn," where Elordi starred.
The situation then escalated after Elordi asked Fox to stop recording and delete the video. Fox said Elordi pushed him against a wall and put his hands on his throat.
New South Wales Police said they are currently investigating the issue.
"Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs," the NSW Police said in a statement to Variety.
"Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident is continuing."
Elordi has yet to release a statement or respond to the reports.
The actor is known for his role as Noah Flynn in "The Kissing Booth" series. He also starred in "Deep Water," "The Sweet East," and "Priscilla."
