Taylor Swift announces new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’

Taylor Swift is set to release a new album in April!

The American pop star announced the coming of "The Tortured Poets Department" on April 19, as she won her 13th Grammy Award — Taylor won the best pop vocal album for "Midnights."

Almost simultaneously, Swift's Instagram account shared a photo of what looks to be an album cover of “The Tortured Poets Department.” In the next photo were handwritten song lyrics.

“All’s fair in love and poetry... New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out April 19,” she wrote in the caption.

Swift also changed her social media profile pictures to a photo from her upcoming release, signifying a brand new era for her.

Before her album announcement, the “All Too Well” singer changed her social media photos to black and white, sparking speculation among fans that the Taylor’s version of her 2016 “Reputation” album is coming.

Don’t worry folks, an album is coming but it’s a brand new one from Queen TayTay herself!

Swift is headed to Japan this week for her The Eras Tour at the Tokyo Dome from February 7 to 10, 2024.

She will also headline six sold-out shows in Singapore—the only South East Asia stop for her The Eras Tour—from March 2 to 4, and March 7 to 9, where Sabrina Carpenter will join as a special guest.

Taylor's The Eras Tour is in support of her 2022 album "Midnights," which includes her recent hits "Karma" featuring Ice Spice, and "Snow on the Beach."
