Liza Soberano on working with Cole Sprouse: ‘He never made me feel intimidated’

Liza Soberano has nothing but the kindest words to say about her “Lisa Frankenstein” co-star, Cole Sprouse.

They only had one scene together but it was "a pretty crazy" one, the Filipina actress told Media Mingle TV's "Red Carpet Report." 

“He is such a veteran in this industry, I would say. He started working when he was a baby and that shows, like all the experience that he's been through,” Liza said.

She adds, Cole “also knows how to set the tone and the energy in the room, which is very important from a lead.”

“He's constantly making sure that everybody is comfortable on set, that everybody is prepared,” she said.

Off-set, Liza said Cole was the nicest person, adding the Hollywood actor helped her feel at ease with everyone.

“He's such a nice and humble guy the whole time,” Liza said.

“He was really trying to help me warm up to everybody and try to get me to talk, which I really appreciated about him because it can be very nerve-wracking, working with you know, such big celebrities, such big names in the industry,” she added.

“He never made me feel intimidated by him, which was very pleasant,” Liza said.

"Lisa Frankenstein" is inspired by the gothic novel "Frankenstein" by English writer Mary Shelley. The movie follows Lisa (played by Kathryn Newton), a misunderstood teenager, and her high school crush played by Cole, who happens to be a handsome corpse.

In the coming-of-rage film, Liza plays Taffy, the popular yet kind girl who is also Lisa’s stepsister.

Directed by Zelda Williams and written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody, "Lisa Frankenstein" is Liza's Hollywood debut.

It premieres in Philippine cinemas on February 7.
