Britney Spears' 'The Woman in Me' wins Best Memoir at 2023 Goodreads Choice Awards
Britney Spears' "The Woman in Me" has been named the Best Memoir and Autobiography at the 2023 Goodreads Choice Awards.
The book garnered 132,867 votes and bested 20 other titles, including Prince Harry's autobiography "Spare," which ranked second with 71,461 votes.
Britney's memoir talked about her life as a teen idol, her rise to fame, her highly publicized relationship with Justin Timberlake, her struggles, and her time under conservatorship.
It was released on October 24, some two years after a court freed her from a strict conservatorship many deemed abusive and exploitative.
The Goodreads Choice Awards honor the year's best books as decided by the readers. This year's awards feature 15 categories with 300 nominated books in the mix.
Britney rose to fame after the release of her debut album "Baby One More Time," in 1999 which sold 13 million copies worldwide.
Britney has two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James from her previous marriage with Kevin Federline.
