Paris Hilton shares iconic photos with Britney Spears on Pop Princess's birthday

Britney Spears just turned 42 on Saturday, and her celebrity friend and fellow '90s It Girl Paris Hilton penned a short but sweet birthday message for her.

The American socialite took to Instagram on Sunday to share some photos of her and Britney taken during the early 2000s, including the iconic 2006 selfie of the two of them.

"Happy Birthday Britney Spears. So many fun memories together. Love you so much. Sending you lots of love on your special day! Keep shining sis," she wrote and tagged Britney in the caption.

Meanwhile, fans can't help but express their admiration for the iconic pop culture duo who remained friends more than a decade later.

"Absolute legends! Happy Birthday Britney!" a fan wrote on Instagram.

"Thank you for being there for her!" a netizen commented.

"Power friendship," another user wrote.

In an interview with People magazine in October, Paris said that she's so proud of Britney for telling her story in the new memoir titled "The Woman in Me."

In the book, Britney reflected on her life as a teen idol, her rise to fame, her highly publicized relationship with Justin Timberlake, her struggles, and her time under conservatorship.
