'Grey's Anatomy' star Patrick Dempsey is People magazine's 2023 Sexiest Man Alive

It’s finally “McDreamy’s” time!

Actor Patrick Dempsey, who garnered a dedicated fan base for his role as Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd on the long-running series "Grey's Anatomy," has been named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2023.

He follows in the footsteps of newlywed Chris Evans, who held the title in 2022 , and Paul Rudd , the 2021 Sexiest Man Alive.

In a feature on people.com , Dempsey humorously remarked that he has "always been the bridesmaid" when it comes to the Sexiest Man honor but expressed his happiness that it's happening at this point in his life.

The 57-year-old actor intends to use his newfound platform for positive purposes, such as raising awareness for the Dempsey Center, an initiative that supports cancer patients and their loved ones which he founded in honor of his late mother.

Now, that’s sexy! Congratulations, McDreamy!
