KC Concepcion proud that film Asian Persuasion won Audience Choice Award at SOHO International Film Fest

KC Concepcion is super proud that her first international film, "Asian Persuasion" nabbed the Audience Choice Award at the Soho International Film Festival.

"Out of over 100 film entries at the Soho Film Fest, 'Asian Persuasion' won the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD for full-length feature! Ang saya," KC wrote on Instagram, tagging the New York-based film festival.

"Congratulations to our director, and three-time Tony Award winning producer Jhett Tolentino - and big love to the entire production!" She added.

KC posted photos and videos of herself on the red carpet of the awarding ceremony, as well as of the coveted trophy and the cast and crew holding it up, jubilant and triumphant.

"Asian Persuasion" is a film about an underachiever who comes up with an outlandish plan to avoid alimony obligations to his fashion executive ex-wife. A directorial debut of Jhett Tolention, "Asian Persuasion" is one of only two Filipino films screened at the Soho International Film Fest.

Meanwhile, there are two other films — "Man of the Sea" and "Velvet Sky" — directed by Fil-Ams that are also being screened at the film fest.

News of KC headlining "Asian Persuasion" broke in April last year. According to Variety, KC replaced lead star Toni Gonzaga who had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Apart from KC, "Asian Persuasion" stars Dante Basco (“The Fabulous Filipino Brothers”), Kevin Kreider (“Bling Empire”), Paolo Montalban (“Mortal Kombat: Conquest”), Scarlett Sher (“Hustlers”), Celia Au (“Wu Assassins”), Geneva Carr (CBS’s “Bull”), and Jax Bacani.

Congratulations team "Asian Persuasion"!
