Olivia Rodrigo, Shakira, TXT, and more added to MTV VMA performers lineup


This year’s MTV Video Music Awards is just getting better! 

Olivia Rodrigo, Anitta, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, Lil Wayne, Shakira, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER are among the latest names announced to join the star-studded lineup, with more performers set to be revealed.

Olivia, who just released her 2nd album "GUTS," is among the awards’ top nominees with six, including Video of the Year for “vampire.” Her sophomore album “GUTS” dropped on September 8.

Shakira meanwhile will have her first VMA performance since 2006. She will also receive MTV’s coveted Video Vanguard Award.

Sean “Diddy” Combs will receive the prestigious Global Icon Award, and will be performing at the awards for the first time since 2005.

Stray Kids, Demi Lovato, Måneskin, and Karol G, were among the previously announced performers.

The 2023 VMAs are set for September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Taylor Swift leads the pack with eight nominations. More top nominees include SZA, Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, and Sam Smith.
