NCT's Taeil injured in motorcycle accident ahead of group comeback
Taeil of NCT is set to undergo surgery following a motorcycle accident on Tuesday.
According to a statement by SM Entertainment published by Soompi, Taeil was on the way home on his motorcycle after his activities when the accident happened. After getting examined in a hospital, he was diagnosed with a fracture in his right thigh and received medical advice that surgery was necessary.
"Currently, Taeil is in stable condition and receiving the necessary treatment at the hospital ahead of the surgery," the statement said.
Taeil will temporarily suspend his activities and focus on recovery, the statement added. He will not be able to participate in the NCT group concert "NCT NATION : To The World" on August 26.
"We sincerely apologize for giving you cause for concern with this sudden news," SM Entertainment said. "The agency will put the artist’s health as a priority and help Taeil focus on his recovery. We will do our best so that he can greet fans again in good health."
NCT is set to release their fourth full group album, "Golden Age," on August 28.
Before the release, NCT will hold a concert called "NCT NATION: To The World" on August 26 at the Incheon Munhak Stadium.
NCT's group members include Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Chenle, and Jisung. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
