Blackpink's Jennie in a Marvel film? YG Entertainment addresses casting rumor

YG Entertainment has addressed rumors that Blackpink member Jennie received an offer to star in a Marvel film.

According to Soompi, a report claimed that Jennie was tapped to play a role in Marvel's Asian superhero group Team Agents of Atlas.

YG Entertainment shut down the rumors in a brief statement.

"It is not true that Jennie received an offer to star in a Marvel project," YG said.

Jennie recently made her acting debut in the HBO series "The Idol." She attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere.

Meanwhile, Blackpink is currently in the middle of their BORN PINK world tour. The K-pop group stopped in the Philippines for a two-night concert back in March.
