Martha Stewart, 81, is the oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model
Martha Stewart on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue? Best believe it.
The domestic diva is among the four cover models Sports illustrated put on its highly anticipated swimsuit issue this year. At 81 years old, she is also the oldest person to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition in the publication's history.
"While Stewart says she doesn’t think about age very often, she does admit that the opportunity to pose in a swimsuit for the cover of the 2023 issue is, in fact, historic," Sports Illustrated wrote on its website.
Photographed by Ruven Afanador at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, in the Dominican Republic, Martha confidently donned one-piece swimsuits, struck various sensual poses, and looked incredibly comfortable in her skin.
In the cover image, she wore a cleavage-bearing one-piece by Monday swimwear and a regal-looking orange coverup by Torso Creation.
On its website, Sports Illustrated called Martha an icon and listed her many accomplishments: She is an Emmy Award–winning television show host, the founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, an author of 99 lifestyle books, who reaches more than 100 million fans on a monthly basis.
Martha appears alongside Megan Fox, Kim Petra, and Brooks Nadar in the four-cover special.
According to SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day, this year's swimsuit issue features no theme. "Rather, there is a vision, a sentiment, a hope that women can live in a world where they feel no limitations, internally or externally.”
