Korean singer Haesoo passes away

Korean trot singer Haesoo passed away on May 12.

Her death was announced on her official fan café Haesoopia, through a statement from a representative.

“We feel apologetic to have to convey such heartbreaking and sad news,” the statement read, as published by Soompi. “On May 12, Haesoo left our side and became a light in the vast ocean.”

“Haesoo was a warm person who knew how to give love to those around her, share affection, and receive it,” the statement said.

Haesoo’s bereaved family, acquaintances, and colleagues “are all mourning her with heavy hearts after being informed of the sudden sad news.”

The statement added that the funeral will be held “quietly and privately,” according to the family’s wishes.

“We earnestly ask you to refrain from spreading speculation, malicious reports, and rumors so that the deeply saddened bereaved family may mourn and peacefully send off the deceased,” the statement said.

The statement ended with expressing condolences.

The Soompi report said that on May 13, police said a trot singer was found dead in their residence on May 12. There was also what was presumed a suicide note.

On May 15, it was confirmed that the singer was Haesoo.

Born in 1993, Haesoo debuted as a trot singer in 2019. She recently appeared on the shows “Immortal Songs” and “Boss in the Mirror.”
