Carrie Fisher posthumously receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May the Fourth

Carrie Fisher was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Star Wars Day, or May the Fourth.

On Instagram, Carrie’s on-screen brother Mark Hamill said, “May The Fourth Be Carrie Frances Fisher Day As She Receives Her Richly-Deserved [star] On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame.”

The Luke Skywalker actor and Carrie’s daughter, actress Billie Lourd, attended the ceremony. Also present were C-3PO and R2-D2.

Billie donned a dress printed with Carrie in Princess Leia’s iconic white costume and space buns. She also had Princess Leia nail art.

Carrie died on December 27, 2016 due to a heart attack while on a flight. “Star Wars” fans continue to honor the late actress to this day.
