Aaron Carter accidentally drowned due to drug and gas effects —autopsy

Aaron Carter’s autopsy revealed that his cause of death involved taking prescription pills and huffing compressed air.

According to reports by People and TMZ, the Los Angeles County Medical found that the singer drowned in the bathtub in his home in Lancaster, California after taking alprazolam, or generic Xanax. He also inhaled compressed difluoroethane, or the propellant used in cans of compressed air.

The findings said that Aaron became “incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects” of the drugs and the huffing. He then slipped under the water and drowned.

His death was ruled as accidental.

Last November, Aaron was found dead at 34 years old.

His brother, Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, as well as actresses and ex-girlfriends Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan, were left heartbroken. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
