Emma Watson returns to social media on 33rd birthday with lengthy life update

Are we all over the COVID-19 pandemic yet? Emma Watson opened up that she only recently became ready to come back to the world.

On Instagram, she said she "wasn’t ready to come out of my COVID Cocoon" last year, but in terms of how she feels today? She described that with emojis of four butterflies.

The social media post marks the star's 33rd birthday. It also seems to be Emma's first Instagram post on her feed since December 2022.

"This is 33," Emma began. "Holy moly. Before 29 I hadn’t even heard of a Saturn Return as a concept. Let’s just say that now I am well acquainted."

A Saturn return is the closing of one cycle and the start of another.

She added, "I felt really sad and really pissed off about a lot of things. I learned more about love and being a woman[.] It took me three years but I have finally figured out a daily practice and can actually keep it for more than a few days in a row. I burned some things down."

In the post, she also shared a detailed update on her life: she learned to surf, rode some horses, got into golf, and "did a lot of therapy."

Naturally, to Potterheads' delight, she also mentioned the Harry Potter reunion as a highlight.

That's not all! Apparently, Emma also adopted a dog in Mexico. She named it Sofia.

She was also honest with her followers and didn't sugarcoat her life.

"I cut my thumb nail off on both hands trying to cook for myself and then was only able to do things one handed for months," she said. She also "said goodbye to my Grandma and Grandpa."

The Brown University graduate seems to have entrepreneurial spirit and started a women’s environmental investment fund. "I retraced my steps."

She said she even tried her hand at directing, going behind the camera for her first commercial.

In addition, she mentioned starting a business with her brother, Alex. She also thanked him "for helping me find the most challenging things, with time, incredibly funny."

She went on to thank "the witches in my coven," also calling them her "Avengers" who inspire her and "kick ass."

"It takes a village, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise," she said.

Emma is most known for her role as Hermoine Granger in the "Harry Potter" film franchise. She also starred in "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
