The Script guitarist Mark Sheehan dies at 46
Mark Sheehan, guitarist and co-founder of The Script, has died following an unnamed “brief illness.” He was 46.
The Irish pop-rock band announced the news on Instagram along with a portrait of Mark.
“Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness,” they said.
Mark’s family and The Script also asked fans “to respect their privacy at this tragic time.”
Fans are heartbroken at the sudden loss, with the comments section filled with messages of condolences. Fellow artists Calum Scott, Hozier, Gavin DeGraw, Ella Henderson, and many more also mourned the loss.
The Script had concerts in Manila several times. They were last in the country in September 2022 for their Greatest Hits Tour.
Some of The Script’s classic hits include “Breakeven,” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” and “For the First Time.”
