'House of the Dragon' season 2 has started production
"House of the Dragon" season 2 has begun production!
That's the latest from HBO who said in a statement that the highly anticipated second season of the "Game of Thrones" spin off has commenced at the Leavesden Studios in the United Kingdom.
Leading the cast in the second season are Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Corlys Velaryon).
Based on George R.R. Martin’s "Fire & Blood," "House of the Dragon" is set 200 years before the events of "Game of Thrones" and tells the story of House Targaryen.
It came smashing last year with an excellent 10-episode season 1 that became HBO's best launch, drawing in nearly 10 million viewers on its season premiere.
It ended in something of a heartbreaking cliffhanger that has fans and viewers itching for more.
The first season of "House of the Dragon" is still available for streaming on HBO Go. — LA, GMA Integrated News
