The teaser trailer for the 'Captain Marvel' sequel, 'The Marvels,' takes flight

The sequel to the "Captain Marvel" movie is coming! And the teaser trailer is here, taking flight.

Both Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson are back as Captain Marvel and Nick Fury respectively.

The trailer, pumping with energy, shows Captain Marvel teaming up with another superhero, Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), the now grown-up daughter of Maria Rambeau, Captain Marvel's friend in the first film.

In the trailer, the powers of the three women seem to be entangled, leading them to be transported to wherever the other one was. On top of that, they take on a female foe, whose face remains hidden.

South Korean actor Park Seo-joon ("Parasite") also joins the cast.

The film is directed by Nia DaCosta ("Candyman" and "Little Woods").
