Jisoo releases 'Flower' MV: It's everything that's been promised and more
It's here.
Jisoo has dropped the music video of her first single "Flower" and it's everything the previews and sneak peek said it was going to be — and more.
"Flower" is a sparse little ditty with clean beats and cleaner breaks. It puts front and center The Blackpink member's vocals, and in the video, her mesmerizing moves.
As earlier reported, "Flower" was filmed overseas, and if we're going to make a guess, we'd say it was somewhere in Italy.
It opens with Jisoo inside a hotel room, looking bored and getting ready to get dressed. She walks the hotel corridor in a lengthy black dress, gets into the elevator and appears in the hotel lobby in a floral black number and starts dancing.
The music video of "Flower" is divided into three chapters — Chapter 1 is Next Day, Chapter 2 is Same Time, and Chapter 3 is Same Place — with Jisoo splitting her time inside her hotel room, the hotel lobby, and the empty streets.
Figuring prominently are a cat, a convertible with its top down, lots of fashion, and sly branding by Dior and Park Terrace Hotel.
Of course the choreography. Whether it was Jisoo dancing by herself or with backup dancers, it is truly spot-on.
The much-awaited "Flower" heralds Jisoo's solo career outside of Blackpink. She is the last member of the South Korean girl group to embark on a solo career.
It is the first single off her solo debut album, "Me."
"Flower" has already generated nearly 7M views in YouTube in just one hour. Jisoo is also the top trending topic of Philippine Twitter with nearly 500K excited tweets as of writing. — LA, GMA Integrated News
