The first thing that Mariah Carey does as she turns 54 is leap into the ocean

What's the best thing to do when you turn a year older? For Mariah Carey, it's jumping into the big, bright blue ocean.

The five-time Grammy winner, who turned 54 on March 27, posted a video of the jump on Instagram set to a remix of her song "Honey."

"Celebratory splash at 3:27 on 3.27!" she captioned.

In her prior post, she posted a video of herself at the airport set to one of her songs, "It's Like That," with the lyrics, "It's a special occasion / Mimi's emancipation."

According to People magazine, Mariah celebrated with her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka, who is a choreographer and dancer.

He posted a birthday greeting for her on Instagram with one of his favorite pictures ever of the couple. It's a black and white photo with a simple close-up of the pair, smiling at the camera.

Since Mariah reportedly refers to her birthdays as anniversaries, Bryan wrote, "Happy Anniversary my Beautiful Queen," with a heart and two butterfly emojis.
