Ed Sheeran to release docuseries 'The Sum of It All' in May
Ed Sheeran is set to provide a rare glimpse into his personal life through this upcoming docuseries.
Titled "The Sum of It All," it is a four-part series coming to Disney Plus on May 3.
Posting the teaser on Instagram, the singer-songwriter also talked a bit more about the docu, saying Disney approached him, and that it was initially focused on how he worked on his next album "Subtract."
"I've always been guarded of my personal life; the only documentary I've ever made has been one that focused on my songwriting," he said.
"But, as my life took a few twists and turns, the subject matter of the album changed, and so did the documentary. It became something completely different to what I thought it would be," Ed said.
"I wanted to provide context to the album as it touches on very personal things, that we all experience," he added.
Ed said that he trusted the director and the production team to present "an accurate reflection of who I am, even if it's uncomfortable to watch."
"I hope you guys connect with this 4-part series," he added.
"Subtract" is set to be released on May 5. Ed said the album is "honest and true to where I am in my adult life."
