'The Little Mermaid' new trailer debuts at the Oscars

The full trailer for Disney's "The Little Mermaid" is here — and it debuted at the Oscars ceremony no less.

The film stars singer Halle Bailey as Ariel and relative newcomer Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric.

Melissa McCarthy ("Gilmore Girls") plays Ursula while Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem ("Skyfall") plays Ariel's father, King Triton.

The movie is slated to be released on May 24 in the Philippines.

The movie poster was previously released, as well as a teaser trailer that gave a first glimpse of Prince Eric and Ursula. — LA, GMA Integrated News
