Actor and anime singer Maon Kurosaki has passed away

Singer and actor Maon Kurosaki, 35, has passed away.

According to Anime News Network , Agency Art One Entertainment shared the news on Tuesday, saying the performer passed away on February 16 due to a chronic illness.

Back in September 2021, Kurosaki collapsed in the middle of a live-streamed concert.

She then had emergency surgery for an epidural hematoma, which is bleeding between the skull and the membrane surrounding the brain.

Kurosaki left her mark in the anime world with various songs. Among many others, she sang the ending theme songs for the "Highschool of the Dead" anime.

Her song, "Magic World," which is the ending theme for "A Certain Magical Index II," debuted in the top 20 of Oricon's weekly singles charts.
