Michelle Yeoh curses in acceptance speech as she becomes first Asian to win Best Actress at SAG Awards
Michelle Yeoh wins Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for "Everything Everywhere all at Once" at the SAG Awards. The win makes her the first Asian to do so.
At one point during her acceptance speech, she turned around for a second, with her back to the camera to compose herself from the emotion before turning right back around to finish her speech.
But not before cursing. "F*ck," she said.
Earlier in her speech, Michelle said, “SAG- AFTRA, to get this from you who understand what it is to get here… everyone of you know the journey, the roller coaster ride, the ups and downs. But most importantly we never give up. I thank you… This is not just for me, this is for every little girl who looks like me,” she said.
“Thank you for giving me seat at the table and tonight you’ve shown us that it is possible,” she said.
It's not the first time Yeoh made a bold move in her acceptance speech. At the Golden Globes, she also told the people running the show to "shut up." — LA, GMA Integrated News
