After marijuana, South Korean actor Yoo Ah In also tests positive for propofol

Korean actor Yoo Ah In has also tested positive for propofol after he was confirmed to have taken marijuana.

Ah In underwent both urine and hair tests when he returned to South Korea from the United States last February 5. His urine tested positive for marijuana later on.

Meanwhile, a Soompi report said his hair sample result was brought to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug investigation unit by the National Forensic Service. It was positive for propofol.

Propofol is an aesthetic drug “used to help you relax or sleep before and during surgery or other medical procedures,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Apart from these procedures, the police also started a search and seizure operation of doctor’s offices and clinics in Seoul that are suspected to have illegally given the drug to Ah in since 2021.

In response to the result, Ah In’s agency UAA said they are “actively cooperating with the investigation.” They also “plan to explain all the issues that have been called into question.”

Ah In starred in numerous dramas and films such as "Hellbound," "Secret Affair," "Chicago Typewriter," "Fashion King," "Burning," and "Voice of Silence." — LA, GMA Integrated News
