IU, Park Bo Gum to star in upcoming K-drama set in Jeju Island
IU and Park Bogum will star an upcoming K-drama set in Jeju Island!
According to a report on Soompi, the series title, which is written in the Jeju dialect, translates to "You Have Done Well."
The story follows Ae Soon (IU) and Gwan Shi (Bo Gum), who were born on Jeju Island in the 1950s.
Ae Soon dreams of becoming a poet but she is not able to go to school, while Gwan Shi is her love interest.
"You Have Done Well" will be written by Im Sang Choon, who previously wrote "When the Camellia Blooms." It will be directed by Kim Won Seok, who also worked on "My Mister" and "Signal."
The series will begin production this year.
Park Bo Gum is popular for his roles in "Reply 1988," "Record of Youth," "Encounter," and "Love in the Moonlight."
IU, meanwhile, is a top Korean singer and has starred in several K-dramas, including "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," "Hotel del Luna," and "Dream High."
