Taylor Swift releases out-of-this-world music video for ‘Lavender Haze’
We met her at midnight, and she didn’t disappoint!
Taylor Swift released the music video for “Lavender Haze,” and like always, it is surreal and fantastical.
Written and directed by the singer herself, Taylor opens the video by lighting a match in a room with her boyfriend, immersing them in a literal lavender haze.
Later in the video, Taylor is surrounded by lavender and swims in lavender-colored water.
The video ends with Taylor, her boyfriend, and their friends partying. Her home is revealed to be in outer space with giant fish swimming around.
On Instagram, the singer-songwriter shard the story behind the video, saying it was "the first video I wrote out of the three that have been released."
"This one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of ‘Midnights,’ like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream,” Taylor said.
Other videos from “Midnights” are “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled.”
Taylor is set to embark on The Eras Tour, which starts in March in the US. — LA, GMA Integrated News
