BLACKPINK’s Lisa sets three records in 2022, Guinness World Records confirms

Is it safe to say 2022 is a banner year for Lisa of BLACKPINK?

Following the release of her single “LaLisa” in 2021, which set the record of being the most viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours with a whopping 73.6 million views, the South Korean singing sensation has unlocked three more to her name.

Guinness World Records confirmed that in 2022 Lisa became the first solo K-Pop winner at the MTV Music Awards, the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and the most-followed Instagram for a K-pop artist with 86.9 million followers, as of writing.

Lisa broke the record of BTS being the only recipient of Best K-pop Video since 2019 in the VMAs.
