‘I’m still writing Dolly De Leon on my ballot,’ says Edgar Wright
Dolly De Leon may have been left out of the Oscar race for best supporting actress, but that doesn't matter to one prominent fan of the Filipina scene stealer from "Triangle of Sadness."
"I'm still writing Dolly De Leon on my ballot," Edgar Wright tweeted after the Academy released its list of nominees on Tuesday.

Wright, the stylish British director of "Shaun Of The Dead," "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," and "Last Night In Soho," made his opinion known after De Leon's omission from the best supporting actress list, comprised of Angela Bassett for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever"; Hong Chau for "The Whale"; Kerry Condon for "The Banshees of Inisherin"; and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu.
De Leon had been hotly tipped for an Oscar nomination after receiving best supporting actress nods from the Golden Globes and the BAFTA Film Awards and winning the Los Angeles Critics Award outright for her turn as Abigail the toilet manager in Ruben Östlund's satirical black comedy.
