Jeremy Renner shares update following snow plowing accident

Jeremy Renner is recovering from his operation following the snow plowing accident that sent him to the intensive care unit (ICU).

In an Instagram post, the "Hawkeye" actor shared a photo of him on a hospital bed with oxygen tubes in his nose. There are bruises on the left side of his face, and he said that he is "too messed up" to type.

However, he sent his gratitude to the outpouring of love and support.

"Thank you all for your kind words," he said. "I send love to you all."

According to an earlier statement from his publicist Samantha Mast, he suffered from "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries" while removing snow. He was taken to a hospital in Nevada in Sunday.

In December, he tweeted a photo of a car covered in snow, saying, ""Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke."

Renner plays the hero Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
