YG Entertainment denies reports of BLACKPINK transferring to another label
News of BLACKPINK transferring to THEBLACKLABEL made the rounds on Friday.
The group’s agency, YG Entertainment, has denied the rumors, according to a report by Soompi.
THEBLACKLABEL is a YG affiliate founded by Teddy, who is behind many of BLACKPINK's hits.
BLACKPINK debuted under YG Entertainment in 2016. Composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, the group just wrapped the European leg of their BORN PINK world tour.
The Asian leg starts in Bangkok on January 7, and will include a two-night concert at the Philippine Arena in March.
This week, BIGBANG members Daesung and Taeyang left YG Entertainment, with Taeyang signing with THEBLACKLABEL. Boy group iKON has also left the agency.
The company also teased that they will be introducing a new girl group. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
