BLACKPINK is TIME’s Entertainer of The Year for 2022

South Korean girl group Blackpink was hailed by TIME magazine as 2022’s Entertainer of The Year.

On Instagram, the media company shared the cover page of its December 2022 to January 2023 issue, featuring “global superstars” Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa.

“Blackpink has managed to become the biggest girl group in the world precisely by allowing its members—Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa—to be solo stars in their own right,” TIME wrote in the caption.

This recognition makes Blackpink the second K-Pop artist to earn the accolade, following BTS in 2020 .

BLACKPINK, known for its hit songs “How You Like That,” “Shut Down,” and “Pink Venom,” is set to bring its “Born Pink” world tour to Manila for a back-to-back show on March 25 and 26, 2023.
