Jenna Ortega reacts to her viral ‘Wednesday’ dance scene: ‘I actually felt really insecure’
Who else can’t get enough of “Wednesday?”
There’s been a ton of awesome comments about the Netflix show ever since it premiered on November 23.
With its strong debut, there are lots of much-talked-about scenes, most especially Wednesday Addams’ moment at the school dance.
At prom, Wednesday is dressed in a gothic black dress while everyone else is in white. She’s got some eccentric dance moves that remind us of an exorcism, but we just can’t look away. And kudos to lead star Jenna Ortega for pulling it off!
Wednesday looked like the confident character she is in the scene, but when the cast reacted to it in a TikTok vid, Jenna said, “I actually felt really insecure about this.”
She added, “I choreographed that myself and I think it’s very obvious that I’m not a dancer or choreographer.”
But Jenna’s fellow cast members assured her that the scene “was amazing,” “fantastic,” and that it was their favorite. Jenna ended up just smiling at herself.
The scene became such a hit that netizens have been making their own versions, including dancer and online personality Niana Guerrero.
“Wednesday” follows her years at Nevermore Academy, where she tries to master her psychic abilities, prevent a monstrous killing spree terrorizing their town, and solve the supernatural mystery that involved her parents 25 years ago.
