Ed Sheeran to take break until 2023: 'See you in the new year'

Ed Sheeran is taking a much deserved break.

On Instagram, Friday, the English singer-songwriter announced his decision to "sign off" for the rest of 2022.

He shared a photo of him standing on a rock at the beach, staring into the sea.

"Signing off now until 2023. See you in the new year. Much love, Ed," he said.

Ed, who is now a father of two children, announced the birth of his second daughter in May.

Earlier this year, his song "Bad Habits" reached the milestone of one billion streams on Spotify.
