Filipino hitmaker Adie, among Rolling Stone's breakout artists of this year

Adie is raising the Philippine flag in music’s international scene!

American music magazine Rolling Stone just named the “Paraluman” hitmaker as one of 2022’s breakout artists who “elevate the game” in the music industry.

According to Rolling Stone, Adie perfectly flaunts the Filipino acoustic ballad in his song “Mahika.”

“Whether or not you can understand the lyrics, you can feel the hopefulness in its heart-based, contemporary pop sound that’s so authentic to Adie,” the magazine wrote.

Aside from Adie, other breakout artists included in the list were Egypt’s Ali Loka, Italy’s Alessandro La Cava, and Korea’s NMIXX, among others.

In November, Adie will share the stage of New Frontier Theater with Kean Cipriano and Unique Salonga for a concert called “Pulso.”
