'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' star Kang Tae Oh announces military enlistment in September


Kang Tae Oh has personally announced that he will enlist in mandatory military service on September 20.

The South Korean actor made the announcement during his online fan meeting, “TikTok Stage Connect: SweeTaeOh.”

According to a report on Soompi, he previously confirmed that “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” would be his final drama before enlisting as an active-duty soldier.

Fans need not worry though, because they can still watch Kang Tae Oh in “Target,” a thriller also starring Shin Hye Sun which has already completed filming, the same report added.

Based on other K-media reports, he is set to be discharged in March 2024.

Aside from the Netflix hit, Kang Tae Oh was also part of the series “My First First Love” and “Run On.” He is also part of Korea’s first actor group, 5urprise. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
