Olivia Rodrigo performs at Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden concert
Fil-Am singer Olivia Rodrigo was a guest at Billy Joel’s residency show at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
In videos posted by Rolling Stone on Instagram, Olivia could be seen singing her heartbreak anthem “déjà vu” with Billy accompanying her on the piano.
The two also sang a joyful duet of “Uptown Girl.”
Both songs are pretty monumental in the Olivia Rodrigo fandom as Billy and Uptown Girl are referenced in “déjà vu.” A line from the song goes: I'll bet that she knows Billy Joel ‘cause you played her “Uptown Girl.”
On her Instagram Stories, Olivia shared all the feels about her concert guesting.
“I sang with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden today are [you] kidding,” she wrote in all caps.
She followed this with a story of the two of them with the caption, “biggest honor ever[.] Still crying[,] thank [you] Billy!!!!!!!”
