Actress Mira Sorvino on Paul Sorvino's death: 'I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend'

"Goodfellas" actor Paul Sorvino has died at the age of 83, and on Twitter, his daughter Mira Sorvino mourned his death.

"My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed," the Oscar-winning actress began.

"My heart is rent asunder - a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over," she added.

After saying how much she loved her "most wonderful father," Mira sent out a loving message addressed to Paul

"I’m sending you love in the stars, Dad, as you ascend," Mira said.

Paul Sorvino's death was announced by a spokesperson on Monday, who said the actor who played Paulie Cicero in "Goodfellas" died of natural causes in a Mayo clinic in Florida.
